Believe... Belong... Become...
The Dreambuilders’ High School began operations in 2001 as a partnership between the Yorkton Catholic School Division and the Yorkton Friendship Centre. In its first year of operation, the school was located at 310 Myrtle Avenue, Yorkton. In its second and third years, the Yorkton Catholic School Division partnered with the Keeseekoose First Nation. The school was then located at 17-5th Avenue. In its 4th year Dreambuilders’ found a permanent home when the Travel Lodge Hotel on Broadway West in Yorkton ceased operations and the facility was taken over by SIGN (the Society for the Involvement of Good Neighbours). With room to expand and a new partnership with the Good Spirit School Division, Dreambuilders moved from offering general programming to providing much more specialized programming in three critical areas: (1) middle-years (grades 6-9) students, (2) high school (grades 10-12) students, and (3) through a partnership with CanSask/Community Resources – a Transition to Work program for students whose goals are to enter the world of work.
